Career Seekers Invited to Attend the Fort Pierce Job Fair

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Over 50 employers and community organizations to participate in providing local career seekers with employment opportunities

Fort Pierce, Florida – The City of Fort Pierce and CareerSource Research Coast want to remind career seekers to make plans to attend the largest recruitment event planned in the City of Fort. Pierce. The Fort Pierce Job Fair will be held on January 14, 2016 at Percy Peek Gymnasium located at 2902 Avenue D from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Veterans will receive priority of service entry from 10 – 10:30 am.

To be prepared, career seekers should ensure their resume is up-to-date and have multiple copies available. Workshops are available to help a career seeker with resume development, interviewing tips and more. Workshops are free and held daily at all CareerSource Research Coast Career Centers.

“At CareerSource Research Coast, we want to arm every career seeker with the tools they need for a successful job search campaign,” said Tracey McMorris, Director of Field Operations. “Each Career Center has dedicated Staffing Specialists available to meet individually with career seekers and assess their needs, identify resources and guide them in the process of finding a new job, a better job or even a first job.”

CareerSource Research Coast also encourages all career seekers to begin preparing for the event through pre-registration. Pre-registration is available at www.careersourcerc.com/jobfair and can help expedite the process for job fair entry. Career seekers should also dress for success and make alternate arrangements for children.

“We are very excited to host our First Annual Job Fair in the City of Fort Pierce,” said Mayor Linda Hudson. “One of our goals in the City is to lower our unemployment rate. We believe our partnership with Career Source Research Coast will connect Treasure Coast businesses with a large, diverse pool of job-seekers from Fort Pierce and will help close the employment gap.”
