STUART, FL — CareerSource Research Coast will officially open the REACH Center to the public on Tuesday, July 7, located at 1815 SE Airport Road in Stuart. This new location will provide Martin County residents with expanded access to career services, training opportunities, employer connections, and support designed to lead to high-demand, high-wage careers.

The REACH Center, short for Reimagining Education And Career Help, is a 7,000-square-foot workforce training hub located at Witham Field in Stuart. The center was developed to connect residents with career pathways in aviation, marine technology, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, skilled trades, and other growing industries that drive Martin County and the Local Workforce Development Area’s economy.

“This opening represents opportunity, hope, and access,” said Monica Rivera, Site Supervisor and Facilitator for CareerSource Research Coast. “Being able to meet people in person and provide the tools, guidance, and support they need to move forward in both their careers and their lives is what drives me. The REACH Center creates a welcoming space where individuals can take that next step with confidence.”

Using federal American Rescue Plan Act funding, Martin County transformed a long-vacant airport facility into a modern training center that aligns workforce development with real-world industry needs. The project was advanced in partnership with the Economic Council of Martin County, which helped identify the site, formerly Building 17 at Witham Field, secure funding, and assemble operating partners including CareerSource Research Coast, industry leaders, and nonprofit organizations.

“The REACH Center has the potential to become a statewide model for best practices in workforce development,” said Brian Bauer, President and CEO of CareerSource Research Coast. “By bringing together education partners, employers, and workforce services under one roof, we’re not only expanding access to training, but we’re also building a smarter, more responsive system that can quickly adapt to industry needs and help residents step into careers that support their families and our local workforce development area’s long-term growth.”

Assistance at the REACH Center will be available through walk-in opportunities and scheduled appointments. Whether someone is exploring career options, building a first resume, changing industries, or seeking advanced training and certification, CareerSource Research Coast staff will provide individualized career guidance, labor market information, referrals, and connections to support services.

“Someone coming to the REACH Center without a job or career plan can expect more than job search assistance; they will find guidance, connection, and a space where they feel seen, supported, and treated with compassion,” Rivera added. “We offer career planning, training opportunities, employer connections, and individualized support designed to help job seekers build long-term, sustainable careers, not just secure their next job.”

Training opportunities at the REACH Center will focus on hands-on, career-focused learning paths informed by employers in key sectors such as aviation, marine, healthcare, skilled trades, and advanced manufacturing. The facility will complement existing K-12 career and technical education programs and postsecondary offerings, creating a seamless talent pipeline from high school through adult and continuing education for individuals who are training, upskilling, or reskilling.

Following the Independence Day holiday weekend, the REACH office will be open Tuesday, July 7, during the following hours:

Monday and Wednesday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tuesday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Thursday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. to noon
Every other Saturday: 8 a.m. to noon
