CareerSource Research Coast Hosts Second Annual Treasure Coast Job Fair

Port St. Lucie, Florida – CareerSource Research Coast, in partnership with the South Florida Manufacturer’s Association, St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce, the Economic Development Council of St. Lucie County, Indian River State College and CareerSource Florida is excited to announce their second annual Treasure Coast Job Fair being held October 1, 2015 at Indian River State College-Schreiber Center from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Veterans will be provided early access to the event beginning at 9:00 am. Admission is free.

With over 35+ employers scheduled to be in attendance, the primary focus will be on local manufacturing companies and the many positions they have available. Additional industries being represented include: warehousing and logistics, healthcare, social services, administrative services and more.

“We are excited about hosting this event again and showcasing the partnership developed locally to drive skilled workers to the manufacturers in our area who need the talent,” said Marcelo Dossantos, Director of Business Services with CareerSource Research Coast. “With the improvement of our local economy, many employers are growing and we are seeing the need for more and more of these types of recruitment events.”

Career seekers interested in attending the event are urged to contact CareerSource Research Coast for pre-registration and a thorough review of their resume and interviewing skills. For career seekers who do not have a resume, CareerSource Research Coast can help them develop one. CareerSource Research Coast encourages that all career seekers dress in business professional attire and find alternate arrangements for children.

“This event is a great opportunity for employers and potential employees to network and to discuss their needs and how they can both be met,” Dossantos reiterated. “Career seekers should definitely come dressed to impress with numerous copies of their resume targeted to the employers and job opportunities they are interested in.”
