Disaster Assistance and Support for Residents Affected by Hurricane Milton
TREASURE COAST, FL — In the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, CareerSource Research Coast encourages all affected residents to seek immediate assistance through FEMA’s disaster relief programs. If you or someone you know has been impacted, there are several forms of financial assistance available.
FEMA Assistance Available
Residents who have been without power for at least 24 hours may be eligible to receive $1,200 in financial aid. To apply, visit www.DisasterAssistance.gov or call 1-800-621-3362.
For those who have lost all food due to prolonged power outages, FEMA is providing an additional $750 in food allowance. When applying for this assistance, it is critical to use the phrase: “I HAVE A SERIOUS FOOD NEED” to ensure eligibility. This assistance can also be accessed by calling FEMA directly at 1-800-621-3362.
