ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla., – CareerSource Research Coast (CSRC) in partnership with St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners is proud to announce the launch of this year’s ‘Summer of Success’ program, which aims to provide on-the-job training for youth aged 16-21. This program will reimburse employers for a portion of their wages, encouraging businesses to participate in the development of the next generation of workers.

The Summer of Success program is designed to provide young people with the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the workforce while earning a living wage. With this program, its goal is to inspire the importance of hard work and the benefits of training.

“Investing in our youth is essential for the success of our communities. The ‘Summer of Success’ program is an opportunity for local businesses to join us in this mission, by offering young people meaningful employment that will help them develop the skills and experience necessary to succeed in their careers,” said Christina Coble, CareerSource Research Coast WIOA Programs Manager.

Registrants will spend the first week in a classroom environment learning and refreshing the importance of soft skills. Following that training session, students will then be dispatched to various employers in the county to complete a 32-hour work week.

“CareerSource Research Coast is thrilled to launch its 8^th annual ‘Summer of Success’ program with our partners in St. Lucie County to provide youth residing in St. Lucie County with an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the workforce,” said Brian Bauer, President/CEO. “This program pays the wages for participants during a four (4) week work experience and provides young adults valuable experience that will help them succeed in their future careers.”

The Summer of Success program will run from June 12 to July 14.
